Magic-Realism
I've added this study of Polyphemus the cyclops, to the magic-realism folder, mostly because I don't know where else to catalogue it. It does have realist elements, albeit few, and it was photographically generated. It also fits my definition of Graphis.
Let me say at this point, that Homer's Odyssey, is my favorite story. After almost 3,000 years and innumerable translations, it still stands head and shoulders over most of the poetry/storytelling existing in the world. In my opinion it beats the Old Testament to the finish line by a nose.
Of all the tales in the Odyssey, the one that has branded itself in my memory most indelibly is the encounter Odysseus and his crew had with Polyphemus, the Cyclops. Here's a picture of him.
