Magic-Realism
Mysticisms of all stripes are by definition magic realism. It is a place where fears are faced and dispelled, and where the inevitability of the human condition leaps forth. It is not important that historic grounding is grounding for any myth cycles. The most important things are the images and stories that arise. What a shame that so many stories of are ancestors have been lost forever. Perhaps who knows ? Someday all the old stories will rise from the ashes of ancient fires, and live again.
