Magic-Realism
I've been working with Lucia Atwood, a writer and educator from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. We were talking about how the independent movie theaters, who were just holding on before the epidemic, all went out of business during Covid-19 in both Belo Horizonte and Seattle. This is a tribute to the marvelous Pathe theater (now gone) which showed art films, at 287 Av. Cristóvão Colombo, in Belo Horizonte.
