Magic-Realism
I like the ancient languages that haven't been deciphered yet. The Linear A of Minoan origin is one of those. At the very beginnings of Western civilization there are a couple forms of writing where the hieroglyphs of Egyptian culture come into play with the more phonetic languages of Asia Minor, and no one has yet figured out the thought processes nor meaning beneath the junction of characters. That sort of mystery is for some reason, very dear to my heart.
