This was taken in Anacortes, WA, during a particularly dry August. I had a lot of fun with sharpening the details.

I feel like my handling of this piece reflects the influence of George Smith of Chichester (British landscapist of the mid 18th century,) whose painting in the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, CT impressed me years ago.
